Evangelistic Humanitarian Campaign Holfontein

Our phase 2 of the Evangelistic Humanitarian Campaign took place on the 12th of September 2020 in the community of Holfontein. This is the community that is located in Mpumalanga, Trichardt just on the N17 highway. 80% of the population in the community is found unemployed and 90% not saved.

As the Accendo Ministries team we reached out to this community on the 12th of September 2020. What happened was unprecedented. We gave out 450 food parcels to the community, 2100 sanitary pads, 500 bibles and we also Evangelized in the community, that about 70% of the 90% not saved got saved.

Our strategy in reaching out to the community was based on Isaiah 66:8, “Can a nation be born in a day, can a nation be bought forth in a moment?” To achieve this we collaborated with the churches in Holfontein, including the churches in the nearby community called Embalenhle. We did Evangelism trainings with the members of the churches preparing them to witness with us on the 12th of September 2020. We understood that for us to reach out to the whole community in one day, we needed other believers to join us and witness with us to the people of Holfontein.

We decided to use different Evangelism strategies to reach out to the community to ensure maximum impact. We reached out to the kids in the area using the Jesus Film and 80% of the kids gave their lives to Jesus

We also decided to go house to house and also on the streets to preach the gospel. The sick was also prayed for on the streets. One man who was lame because he got into an accident, was prayed for and instantly was healed. 55% of the household and people reached on the streets gave their lives to Jesus.

We also reached out to the Women of Holfontein. Because of the level of poverty in Holfontein, most Women gave themselves to prostitution just so that they can support their kids and put food on the table. Because of that, we had to preach different salvation message to them. 75% of the women gave their lives to Jesus.

We ended the day with a soul-winning crusade. Because of the miracles that took place on the streets and with the Women’s ministry, a word went out to the streets that people are getting healed and almost all the community members flocked to the crusade ground. There was a strong move of the spirit that most were caught under the anointing as they got to the ground. Evangelist Andy Mahlagaume ministered on a scripture in the book of Acts 3:6 where Peter spoke to the lame man who was at the gate called beautiful that for silver and gold he does not have but what he has it is the name of the Lord, that the lame man immediately rose up and walked in the name of Jesus.
People were convicted by the Holy Spirit that many rushed to the altar call to give their lives to Jesus.

Because of the need in the community of Holfontein, we also gave food parcels, sanitary pads and also donated clothes to the community. The aim was to donate 500 food parcels but because of the shortage on food parcels we could only give a 100 that we as the team we decided to divide the food parcels so that we can give out to 200. On the day of the campaign when we were packing food on the field to give out, miraculously the food was over 500. God multiplied the food that we ended up giving 450 to the community. The miracle of the food multiplying amazed the local pastors we were working with that most of them their faith ignited.

What transpired at Holfontein was unprecedented. Can a community be saved in a day, can it be bought forth in a moment? On the 12th of September 2020 we saw exactly that.

GAP Night 2020

Welcome

Pastors, leaders, churches, youth and prayer movements this is your exclusive invitation to join the gap night team August the 28th, 2020 for the Gap Night prayer meeting that will be broadcasted live on the Gap Night Pretoria Facebook Page and Gap Night YouTube Page.

About

Gap Night is a prayer movement that was founded by Johan Terblanche, a national youth director from Doxa deo church. It is a collaboration of youth and young adult pastors from Pretoria that, once a year, bring together youth and student ministries from different churches across Tshwane for a night of prayer. As a unity movement in our city, we strongly believe that we are better together. No one church can reach the whole city but if churches across the city, denominations and races unite in the name of Jesus Christ we believe this will catalyse unity in our city and cultivate a Kingdom mindset. In 2019 our “Gap Night” took place at the Union Buildings at the SAPS Memorial on the 3rd of May right before the elections which we consider a significant night as leaders across different denominations earnestly prayed for the elections, our leaders and our country.

This year we are back again and we are going online. Our theme for this year is “HOPE ARISE”. We are saying in the midst of chaos there is Hope. God’s Word never changes because of crisis. It still remains, it is unshakable. Join us in prayer on the 28th of August 2020, 7PM as we are going to lift our nation in prayer. The session will be online and it will be broadcasted live on the “Gap Night Pretoria” Facebook page and “Gap Night” Youtube page. We are calling everyone to join us wherever you are. Weather you are at home, in the car or on your bed. Let’s pray for this nation.

We collaborated with different prayer organizations, movements and pastors of the community because we believe that one can chase a 1000 but two can chase 10 000. This prayer event was unprecedented. It was for the first time the churches came together to pray for their community. The level of unity amongst the churches is strong like never before. We had 310 people that joined us for prayer on Facebook and 130 engagements. On YouTube we had 62 people that joined us for prayer and 15 engagements. God has visited this community and we believe it will never remain the same.

How to use WhatsApp to win Souls and Disciple people

As part of the Hope2020 strategy towards reaching a Deep Life Goal of 1 million multiplying disciples by the end of 2020, we have developed different evangelism and discipleship strategies to use to spread the Gospel on WhatsApp. We want to help church outreach teams and evangelistic teams to use WhatsApp to witness in this season. We believe with digital evangelism you can reach more people globally that you can never even meet in your lifetime.

With the issue of many countries being under complete lockdown since March, April. We saw restriction to movement. Every sphere of society was put on a standstill including missionary activity. At the time when the world needed hope, there was restriction in missionary movements and church outreach departments to preach the Gospel and Win Souls.

We had to ask ourselves a question that is Evangelism only defined in the context of face to face? If that was the case, why was it not mentioned in the Bible? If the world was under total lockdown to the end of age, does that mean we won’t win souls and disciple people?

The spread of the pandemic virus, Covid-19 has taught us that we are connected and if there is over 2 billion active users on WhatsApp daily, why not use it to win souls? How many people do you think we can reach worldwide with the Gospel of Jesus?

We had a Zoom Webinar training from the 24th of June to the 26th of June 2020 to train churches, evangelists and evangelistic movements to be more effective in winning souls and disciple people using WhatsApp.

Different Evangelism tools were used to train people to use them for WhatsApp. We partnered with the Digital Strategies Department of Campus Crusade For Christ, where some of their tools like the Jesus Film, the God Tools App, the Knowing God online Discipleship platform and the Prayer Care Share Strategy was utilised.

Churches and movements were impacted beyond measure and we are already receiving reports of how the training was helpful to them.

Leadership63 Nation Building Zoom Webinar Session

Leadership63 Nation Building project is aligned with the vision of the African Union (AU) towards agenda 2063 which is to raise African leaders that will unite and work together to make Africa prosperous, eradicate poverty and inequality and to make Africa to be one of the top Economic Hubs in the world. We believe the vision for Africa is the vision that comes from God and as sons of God we are called to partake in this vision to make Africa the better continent for all. One of the aim of this project is to empower believers on how to win souls in cooperate and marketplace, help them identify their purpose and God’s agenda towards the marketplace for South Africa and the entire African continent.

With the recent Covid-19 pandemic virus that had the whole world under lockdown and seeing global markets early March crash and lost $6 trillion in value in just a matter of six days, we decided as the Accendo Team to have a Leadership63 Nation Building Webinar Session on the 09th of April 2020 to discuss if the current economic model is godly or not? If a virus can affect global markets immensely, is it something we can rely on and have faith on. Is there probably a Kingdom Economic Model that exists but we do not adhere to?

Such times where we are seeing business affected, some closing down and some having problems cash flow can even result in Christian Business man not acting in a moral way towards their staff and their suppliers. We had to discuss what it means to be a Christian Entrepreneur and discussed ways on how you can assist your business to survive during this economic crisis.

    Speakers

We invited a series of speakers to discuss on different subjects in regards to the current economic model. Share on the Kingdom Economic Model and also Marketplace Evangelism.
